About 6 Insider

6 Insider is an independent site covering Grand Theft Auto 6. We publish news as Rockstar releases it, break down trailers and screenshots frame by frame, and build reference pages for the vehicles, characters, locations and systems shown so far.

The game is out on 19 November 2026. Between now and then the amount of information about it will roughly double every time Rockstar publishes anything, and the amount of confident writing about it that is not based on anything will grow considerably faster than that. The point of this site is to be the version you can check.

How we handle information

Grand Theft Auto coverage attracts a lot of guesswork, so we label things plainly. If Rockstar has shown or stated something, we say so. If it is a read on a piece of footage, or reporting from another outlet, it is attributed in the story. We would rather publish less and be right about it.

Articles carry a confidence label in the header: Confirmed, Reported, Rumour, Unconfirmed or Community. Those are not decoration. Confirmed means Rockstar said it or showed it. Reported means a named outlet stands behind it. Rumour and Unconfirmed mean exactly what they say, and we run very few of them.

Wiki pages follow the same rule and end with a section saying what is not known. A page that admits its gaps is more useful than one that fills them in, and it is the difference between a reference and a fan theory with a table of contents.

What we do not do

We do not republish other people's databases. Several sites have spent years compiling Grand Theft Auto 6 vehicle and character lists, and that compiled work is theirs. Facts about a game are free to anyone. Somebody else's assembly of them is not, and rewording it does not change that. Where a community project has done work worth seeing, we link to it and name the people behind it.

We also do not run leaked material. The 2022 breach put a large quantity of stolen development footage into circulation and a great deal of it is still being passed around as fact. None of it appears here.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and say what changed. The contact page is the fastest route. Corrections are made on the page itself rather than quietly, because a reference that edits its own history is not a reference.

How the site is funded

6 Insider is supported by advertising. Ads are clearly separated from editorial content and no advertiser has any input into what we cover or how we cover it.
