The Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus is built around a 1955 Vapid Stanier, a two-tone yellow and white sedan with chrome, whitewalls and tail fins, stored at a Shore Court personal garage near Ocean Beach.

The pack also includes exclusive outfits and a vintage weapon pattern.

A very different Stanier

Anybody who has played recent Grand Theft Auto games knows the Stanier as the Ford Crown Victoria analogue: the beige, indestructible, faintly depressing sedan that is also every police car in the series.

A 1955 Stanier is a different animal entirely. It is the fifties American sedan of the popular imagination, and the badge on the flank in the third shot confirms Rockstar is using the same nameplate across seventy in-universe years, exactly as real manufacturers do.

Why a fifties car is the right pre-order bonus

Miami's identity is inseparable from mid-century American cars, because the city's boom and its architecture belong to the same decades. A cream and yellow fifties sedan outside an art deco hotel is not nostalgia for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, it is nostalgia for the thing Vice City was itself nostalgic for.

Rockstar naming the whole pack Vintage Vice City makes the intent explicit.

What is not known

No performance detail has been published. Rockstar has not said whether the Stanier is drivable in the base game in any form, and the pre-order pack is the only confirmed route to this one.
