Mechanics
Systems Rockstar has confirmed or teased.
This is the section that has changed most between Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto 6. The police no longer hand you a star rating and wait for it to time out. They build a case from your face, your clothes, your car, your weapon, your partner and any camera that saw you, and each piece has to be dealt with separately.
Almost everything else connects to that. Masks matter because a face is tracked. Weapon condition matters because a distinctive gun is easier to match. Storing rifles in your car means your vehicle carries evidence for you. Even stealing a car is now a choice between quiet and fast.
Alongside it sits the Criminal Profile, a per-character record of how you operate that Rockstar has been careful to say is not a morality meter, and Focus, which slows time and marks limbs separately from lethal zones so that ending a confrontation without killing anyone becomes a real option.
Where a system has been shown, these pages say what was shown. Where it comes from reporting on the Extended Look rather than from Rockstar, they say that instead.

Criminal Profile
Jason and Lucia each carry a record of how they operate. Rockstar has been explicit that it is not a morality meter.

The wanted system and evidence
The police now build a case out of pieces. Your face, your clothes, your car, your weapon, your partner and any camera that saw you.

Character switching and the relationship
Two leads instead of three, and an interface that puts a heart between them rather than a skill bar.

Focus
Time slows and hit zones light up, red for lethal and yellow for limbs. Grand Theft Auto finally gets its Dead Eye.

Stealing cars
A Slim Jim or a smashed window, and reportedly a key cloner for anything worth taking.

Store robberies
Three reported tiers, stores across the map, and masks, witnesses and a getaway plan all feeding the outcome.

Vehicle customisation and Rideout Customs
Rockstar has now shown the garage, the lift and the finished cars. Customisation is in, and the press set is the proof.

Tattoos, hair and clothing
Electric Fang Tattoo, Sara's Salon, Stock 305 and Goodtime Gear. Rockstar has shown the shops rather than a menu.

Outfits, and what the style packs tell you
Two paid wardrobes, one modern and one period. Between them they show more of the clothing system than Rockstar has described.
