Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell are real now, and they're inside the Miami Heat's arena

Two GTA fast food chains are serving actual food at the Kaseya Center. One fan says a burger meal cost him more than $37, and that it's basically the stand that used to be there.

If you're going to a Heat game before launch, you can eat like you're in Los Santos. Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell, two of the oldest fake brands in the series, now have real stands inside the Kaseya Center in Miami.

Fans started posting photos and video on 21 October. The food's real, the packaging's GTA, and the staff are in Burger Shot shirts and caps.

It's a Skinny Louie's in a costume

Dexerto says the Burger Shot stand took over an existing Skinny Louie spot, and the fan who went viral for the price said as much. Joel Franco posted that a burger, fries and a drink came to more than $37, adding "crazy prices but it's essentially a Skinny Louie."

Arena food was never cheap, so the GTA paint job probably isn't doing all the work there. But $37 for a meal that Franklin could get for a few dollars in GTA 5 is a pretty good joke on its own.

Two very old jokes

Both chains go back to San Andreas in 2004, and they've been the series' favourite punchline about American fast food ever since. In San Andreas you could actually eat at them, and eating too much made CJ put on weight. That idea's coming back in GTA 6: Rockstar showed in the Extended Look that what Jason and Lucia eat affects their weight, and that training changes their build. So for the first time in a long while, a Cluckin' Bell habit might show up on your character.

Part of a much bigger Miami push

The stands are one more piece of a campaign that's been taking over the city all month. There's a big lit-up Vice City sign on the arena, GTA cars and a blimp around town, and the Heat are playing as Vice City on 18 November, the night before launch. We've been tracking the cars and the blimp and the county's own deal talks.

Rockstar hasn't put out a statement about the stands, so we don't know how long they'll stay or whether they'll show up anywhere outside the Kaseya Center. If they stick around to launch week, expect the queue to be longer than the one for preload.
