The GTA 6 gameplay reveal was the biggest gaming stream of the year
Just under four million people watched at once, across every platform carrying it.

The gameplay reveal peaked at 3,970,738 concurrent viewers across the platforms carrying it, making it the largest gaming stream of 2026.
That is a live-attendance figure, not a view count. Nearly four million people arranged to be watching the same trailer at the same minute, for a game with no playable demo and no beta.
What it signals
Rockstar markets in long silences broken by single events, which concentrates attention rather than spreading it across a campaign. The reveal numbers are the clearest evidence that the approach still works at a scale nothing else in the industry reaches.

It also sets up a launch-week problem worth watching: a single-player game with this much simultaneous demand, and no online mode to absorb it.
