The six regions of Leonida, and what Rockstar has shown of each

Vice City is the headline, but the state around it runs from swamp to sugar refinery to a faded holiday coast.

Leonida is Rockstar's Florida, and by its own preview comparison it is around three times the size of the Red Dead Redemption 2 world. Six regions have been confirmed. Here is what each one actually is.

Vice City

The modern-day Miami at the centre of everything, and roughly twice the size of Los Santos on its own. Beachfront art deco and neon, a high-rise downtown, the Pagasi residences on the water. Full entry: Vice City.

Leonida Keys

Resort islands and coastline: dive boats, beach bars, tourists. Also where Jason was working for drug runners before the story starts. The holiday economy and the smuggling economy share the same water. Full entry: Leonida Keys.

Grassrivers

The Everglades analogue. Sawgrass, airboats, alligators, and the setting for the most striking shot in the official screenshot set. Full entry: Grassrivers.

Port Gellhorn

The forgotten coast. A holiday town that stopped being one, full of cheap motels and shuttered attractions. Historically this is where Rockstar hides its best side content. Full entry: Port Gellhorn.

Ambrosia

The industrial interior beside Lake Leonida, with a sugar refinery over it, and apparently the home of the Thrillbilly Mud Club. Full entry: Ambrosia.

Mount Kalaga National Park

Remote high ground: lakes, rivers, forest and genuinely dangerous wildlife. The closest thing Leonida has to Ambarino. Full entry: Mount Kalaga.

Rockstar has still not released a map. What exists is the community mapping project, which reconstructs the coastline by triangulating landmarks across official footage. More on that on our map page.
