Paradise Garage

Named by Rockstar as the home of the Ultimate Edition buggy, in Watson Bay. A storage location with a weapon locker attached.

Rockstar's Ultimate Edition copy states that the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy is stored at Paradise Garage in [Watson Bay](/wiki/map/watson-bay), with a weapon locker and stash box.

Why a garage is worth recording

It is one of a handful of places Rockstar has named in its own published material rather than a name somebody read off a sign in a trailer. Under the confidence tiers this site uses, that is the firmest category available, and it is why a single line of marketing copy earns a page.

It also tells you the place functions. Storage locations are somewhere you drive to, park in and come back to, which is different from scenery. A building you return to is a building that has to exist properly, with an interior, a door that works, and a state that persists while you are elsewhere.

Garages in the series

They have quietly been one of the most load-bearing objects in these games. The 3D-era titles used garages as the only reliable way to keep a car you liked, which turned an ordinary building into the thing players were most attached to and most annoyed by when it failed.

Grand Theft Auto V attached them to properties and made them part of what you bought. Grand Theft Auto Online went considerably further, building an entire economy on storage: vehicle garages, mechanic delivery, and eventually workshops that modified what was parked in them.

The direction of travel across twenty years has been from a room that holds a car to a service you call. Naming a specific garage in a specific district, and attaching a physical locker to it, points back the other way.

The weapon locker is the interesting part

Grand Theft Auto 6 has taken larger weapons off your body and put them in your vehicle. A garage that comes with a weapon locker and a stash box attached is therefore not a cosmetic reward. It is somewhere your loadout lives.

That raises a question Rockstar has not answered: whether storage is a property of specific garages, a property of specific vehicles, or something you can buy. The copy describes the locker as attached to the buggy at this garage, which does not settle it either way.

The answer matters more than it looks. If loadouts live in named places, then planning a job involves deciding where to start from, and the map acquires a layer it has never had in this series.

What is not known

What the garage looks like, whether other vehicles can be kept there, whether more garages exist, whether the locker restocks, and where Watson Bay is. One sentence of marketing copy is the complete published record.
