Vice City districts
Ocean Beach, Bayside, Stockyard and the port have been read off official footage. Watson Bay, Washington Beach and Shore Court came from Rockstar's own press copy.
Vice City is about twice the size of Los Santos, which means it is a city you learn by district. Several of those districts now have names, and they arrived from two very different places.
| District | What is there | How the name reached us | A district in 2002 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ocean Beach | The postcard strip: art deco frontage, pastel, white sand | Read off official footage | Yes |
| Bayside | Waterfront residential, on the water | Read off official footage | No |
| Stockyard | Covered in large-scale mural work | Read off official footage | No |
| Vice City Port | The industrial shipping district, in both trailers | Read off official footage | No |
| Watson Bay | Contains Paradise Garage | Named in Rockstar's press copy | No |
| Washington Beach | Where the Shitzu Squalo is docked | Named in Rockstar's press copy | Yes |
| Shore Court | A personal garage, described as near Ocean Beach | Named in Rockstar's press copy | No |
| Southside | Signposted off Exit 3, SW 9th Ave. Nothing else is known | Read off a highway sign | No |
| Peacock Bay | Signposted off the same exit. The name suggests waterfront | Read off a highway sign | No |

Why the last two columns matter
A name read off a shop sign and a name Rockstar wrote down in its own marketing copy are not the same tier of information, and the site keeps them apart. The press-copy tier arrived by accident: nobody publishes a district list, but somebody has to say where your bonus car is parked.
The 2002 question
Ocean Beach and Washington Beach were both districts in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002. Their return is a strong signal that Rockstar is reusing the old district geography rather than inventing a new city that happens to share a name.
It is worth being careful about how far that goes. Forty in-universe years have passed, the city has been rebuilt around modern money, and a returning name does not mean a returning layout.
What the real city suggests
Miami divides cleanly and Rockstar has followed it: a barrier island carrying the beach and the nightlife, a downtown of towers across the water, a working port, wealthy waterfront residential fingers, and neighbourhoods immediately inland with none of that money in them.
Footage shows a barrio neighbourhood with Cuban-American visual cues that would correspond to Little Havana. The name has not been confirmed and we are not going to print it as though it has.
What is not known
Rockstar has published no district map and no complete list. Boundaries, how many districts exist, and whether the named places are neighbourhoods or larger zones are all open.
Southside and Peacock Bay are the newest names and the thinnest. They come from an overhead sign in Trailer 2 and appear nowhere else at all, which we wrote up in full. A place with a road sign and no other evidence is still a place.
