Rockstar put fake GTA brands on real Miami billboards, and one of them hides the launch date

Dix lipstick, Juice Loose and a Weazel cartoon called Macca & Friends are all up in downtown Miami. Read the small print on the cartoon one.

Downtown Miami now has ads for products that don't exist. Rockstar's bought real Clear Channel billboards and put up fake brands from GTA 6, and a Reddit user called u/Snak3D0ct0r posted photos of them to r/GTA6 over the weekend.

There are three so far, plus the big "Welcome to Vice City" board outside the Kaseya Center.

What's actually up there

The biggest is Dix, a lipstick brand, wrapped across several storeys of a downtown tower. It's red lips, a lipstick, and the line "These are Dix lips." It even has a QR code on it, which is very GTA. Then there's Juice Loose, a juice brand with a grinning orange mascot and the slogan "Keeping America on the move!"

The clever one is the cartoon. It's an ad for Macca & Friends, a kids' show with a pink dinosaur and some flamingos, and it says it's "coming November 19 on Weazel." Weazel is GTA's in-world TV network, and 19 November is launch day. So it's a fake TV premiere that's really a release date.

Why fake brands work so well

Parody ads have always been half the fun of GTA. People still quote Pißwasser and Sprunk years later. Putting them on real streets means the joke works on people who've never played the game, and the ones who have get a little thrill of recognising it. It's the same idea as the Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell stands inside the Heat's arena.

Rockstar hasn't announced the billboard campaign or said how long it'll run. There's also a post on X claiming several GTA 6 boards have gone up in Manhattan, which we haven't been able to confirm, so treat that as unverified for now.

The bigger Miami picture

This is the latest in a month of Rockstar treating Miami as a stage: GTA-liveried cars and a blimp, the Heat playing as Vice City on 18 November, and a county vote on a bigger promotion deal. Some local officials don't love it. Ads for Dix lipstick probably won't change their minds.
