Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers

The Ultimate Edition includes a pair of Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers finished in what Rockstar calls classic Vice City styling: palm-tree etched grips, engraved detailing and a high-performance scope.

Rockstar says they come from the Vercetti Estate.

That name is not a coincidence

Tommy Vercetti was the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002, and the mansion he takes over across that game is one of the most recognisable locations the series has ever built.

Rockstar putting the Vercetti name on a location in modern-day Vice City, in official copy rather than as an easter egg somebody spotted in a trailer, is the most direct connection yet drawn between this game and the 1986 one.

It is worth being careful about what that does and does not mean. A named estate is not a returning character. Forty years have passed in-universe, the property could carry the name for a dozen reasons, and Rockstar has said nothing else about it. But the studio chose to write it down, and it does not do that accidentally.

Hawk & Little

Hawk & Little is Rockstar's long-standing in-universe firearms manufacturer, broadly the Smith & Wesson of the series, and a Morgan revolver with a scope on it is a specific kind of object: a hunting or target revolver rather than a service weapon.

How it fits the systems

A scoped revolver is an odd fit for a game that has moved larger weapons into your vehicle and made your sidearm the thing you carry. It is a pistol by size and a rifle by intent.

There is also a wrinkle worth noting under the evidence system. Your weapon is a tracked item that the police match against you, and a pair of engraved, palm-tree-etched, scoped revolvers is about as identifiable as a firearm can be. Carrying these is a decision, not just a flex.

What is not known

Whether the Morgan appears in unengraved form in the base game, and what the Vercetti Estate actually is in Grand Theft Auto 6, have not been detailed.
